Hall started brightly with Waterson hitting the bar, Stewart-Hogg shot was well saved as was the follow up from Crowe. Gibbs was the next to try his luck, his shot was well saved and Hutchins follow up was just wide. When Elmswell did attack Lapwort, Stonebridge and Tully were equal to it.

More of the same with Hall on the attack, Crowe hit a shot distain for the top corner but the Elmswell keeper had other idea's and made a great save. Stewart-Hogg should have scored but shot with his right instead of his left and put it wide. Elmswell were starting to attack with purpose and took the lead midway through the half. At last Hall found the back of the net when Addison found Hutchins who inturnplayed a great through ball for Gibbs who hit an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner of the net. Smith went close to winning it for Hall when his long range shot went just wide.

Extra time produced only one piece of entertainment when Tully pulled out a great double save to keep Hall in the game.
So to Penalties (for a change!)
The first 7 were all missed with Crowe putting Hall 1 up, Elms well scored to make it 1 all. Lapworth stepped up to find the corner of the net to put Hall onto the semi-final.

Thanks to Sean for reffing the game for us.

Hall started well with Gibbs going close, Stewart-Hogg should have done better when put through by Addison. At the other end Smith, Lapworth and Tully were untroubled by CFC. Hutchins should have scored when he shot following a poor kick from CFC keeper. Just before halftime Stewart-Hogg found the net with a long range shot which flew into the top corner.
More of the same in the second half with Gibbs hitting the post and Waterston flashed a shot just wide. CFC drew level when a corner was half cleared to Goodchild, whose shot came off Lapworth to leave Tully wrong
footed. They then took the lead with a shot that crept in the corner. With time running out Stonebridge played the ball long for Stewart-Hogg to chase, he beat the keeper to the ball and calmly rolled it into the empty net. With the last shot of the game Hall could have had a penalty when the ball was played or struck a CFC hand, some you get some you don't!

The game was as one sided as the score suggests, With Gibbs opening the scoring and Stewart-Hogg adding a couple more. Hutchins made it 4 then 5 before Elmswell pulled 1 back from a corner. Gibbs made it 6 and Hutchins completed his hatrick just before halftime.

More of the same in the second half with Waterson helping himself to a couple before Elmswell scored the goal of the game. Tully then had to make a smart save to stop Elmswell adding a third, at the other end Stonebridge, Lapworth and Addison  all going close. For the last 10 minutes Crowe went forward and scored 4 more to make it lucky 13.

To their credit Elmswell never gave up and kept going to the final whistle.

At 8.30 the game was called off due to a frozen pitch, at 9 Hall had agreed to play the game at Gorleston as there pitch was ok.

The game kicked off at 12 and by 12.02 Gorleston were 1 up, as  Hall attacked Gorleston hit a long pass forward and the striker scored. Hall kept playing there football with the Waterson going close on two occasions. Smith corner was pushed onto his own bar by the keeper and grabbed at the second attempt. Great work by Gibbs nearly resulted in a Hall equaliser when he set up Stewart-Hogg who shot just wide.

In the second half Waterson broke down the right, he fired across goal and Hutchins volleyed just wide. Hall got a free kick 25 yards from goal, Hutchins struck a superb shot into the top corner. Both teams went in search for a winner, Gibbs again went close and at the other end the make shift defence of Addison and Crowe looked solid. When they were breached Hutchins saved the day with a great last ditch tackle. The game finish 1-1.

We would like to thank the Gorleston parents for laying on food for the boy's and we would like to thank Paul Hayward, the referee who was fantastic.

A good start by Hall resulted with Gibbs having a shot well saved by the home keeper. From Smith's corner Gibbs shot just wide. Stewart-Hogg also had a shot well saved. At this point it was all Hall, so it was no surprise when Bury broke and Bedford scored for the home team. Back came Hall with Waterson and Stonebridge going close, Bury nearly added a second on the break but Tully saved well.

In the second half Hall pushed foward With Waterson shooting for the top corner only for the Bury keeper to produce a wonder save. At last Hall scored after fine work by Crowe and Gibbs allowed Waterson to cross for Hutchins to finish well. Bury nearly re-took the lead when they rounded Tully in the Hall goal only to shot into the side netting. Hall kept pushing foward for the winner with Hughes going close and after a another fine passing move the ball fell to Crowe on his right peg who screwed it wide, if only it was his left! The final chance fell to Smith who shot through a crowded area just wide.

After 8 week's without a game for one reason or another, Hall welcomed The Red Devils in the Open Cup. A fast flowing start to the game saw birthday boy Stewart-Hog nearly score but for a fine save by the away keeper, Smith had a chance but his shot was charged down. At the other end Tully produced a fine save to keep the score at 0-0. Just before half time Stonebridge intercepted the ball, his pass found Addison who moved it on to Gibbs, his cross found Hutchins who scored from the edge of the box.
The second half started even, but trimley soon levelled when a cross somehow eluded everyone and nestled in the bottom corner. They then took the lead with a shot that crept also into the bottom corner.
Hall pushed for an equaliser with Hutchins and Gibbs both going close. From a Trimley attack Hall broke with Stewart-Hogg feeding Waterson as he entered the area he was brought down, from the resulting penalty Smith drove it hard and low into the back of the net.
Hall pushed for a winner with Crowe having to long range shot's going close, the final whistle went with the score's at 2-2. A fair result between 2 even side's.
With no extra time the game went straight to penalties.

Hall were without 2 of there best players with Addison & Tully both being ill, Stewart-Hogg took the gloves and let no body down.

As with the game last week it was end to end total football, played in the right spirit and well refereed by Rob Gibbs. Hall had a couple of chance's with Waterson and Gibbs going close. At the other end Stonebridge & Lapworth continued were they left off last week. Crowe played on the left a gave strength and width, but Hall were unable to convert any of there chances.

The second half started well for Hall with Hitchins going close and Smith beginning to run midfield. The breakthrough came midway through the half when a long range shot was well saved by Stewart-Hogg only for a Falcons forward to slot home the rebound. As hall pushed forward looking for a goal the were caught twice more on the break to make it 3 0. it could have been 4 but for a great penalty save at the death by Stewart-Hogg

What a game! End to end total football, great passing, great shooting, great tackling and a great young Ref in Tom Abbott.
Hall could have been 1 up when Waterson had a shot well saved, then Tully plucked a shoot out the top corner with the Falcon's celebrating a goal. Smith had a freekick well saved then Waterson Scored a header from a Gibbs cross. Shortly afterwards the Falcons made it 1 1 with a fine long range shot. There was still time for Addison to go close for Hall and at the other end Stonebridge and Lapworth (who had his best ever game in a Hall shirt) were out standing.

The second half saw wave after wave of attacking football with Stewart-Hogg on the right & Gibbs on the left causing all sorts of problems to the falcons defence, however they just could not convert there chances. at the other end Falcons nearly snatched it with the last kick of the game, but the striker shot wide when clean through.

A great game

Hall were missing Addison & Hutchins for this tough game but made a good start and should have gone  up when Gibbs put Stewart-Hogg through only for the Woody keeper to save. 20 seconds later the ball was in the back of the Hall net, six quick passes later the ball was slotted in at the far post. The second came in a similar way, quick passes and another fine finish. woody added a third shortly before halftime.

More of the same in the second half with Gibbs, Smith & Waterson all going close. But every time Hall had a shot it came back with interest Only some top draw save's by Tully and cracking defending by Stonebridge, Crowe and Smith kept it down to, the last being a cracking header from Crowe!

Another Sunday and another game of missed chance's. Hall pressed forward with Waterson going close and at the other end Stewart-Hogg in the Hall goal showed good handling when Mildenhall threatened. Smith crossed from the right wing but Gibbs and Hutchins just failed to get a touch and the ball went to safety. Stonebridge played Gibbs through but he hit his shot just wide.
More of the same in the second half with Addison shooting just wide, midway through the half Mildenhall's Lister picked the ball up in his own half pushed forward too and hit an unstoppable shot. Hall pushed forward with Crowe hitting the side netting and Smith and Hutchin both going close.

Hall started on the back foot and never got going until they were 2 down, the first was scored after a throw was not cleared and the second came from a punt up field that dipped over Tully's head. Gibbs has a strong run and shot that was well saved by Aves and Stewart-Hogg failed to convert a chance at the back post from another Gibbs fine cross.

In the second half Hutchins and Smith went close and Hall went 3 down when Mildenhall broke to score. Hall never gave up and pulled 1 back when Stewart-Hogg converted Crowe's in swinging corner.

An even game from the start, first chance to Waterson who fired at the CFC keeper. Nice play between Gibbs & Smith set Stewart-Hogg free only to have his shot blocked. The resulting corner lead to a chance for Lapworth, who miss from close range. At the other end Goodchild had a shot well saved by Tully, CFC then hit the top of the bar with a dipping shot.

More of the same in the second half with Goodchild going through the Hall defence only to drag his shot wide with only Tully to beat. The Goal came midway through the half following a Hutchins inswinging corner, it bounce around until it fell at Stewart-Hoggs feet and he smashed it high into the roof of the net. CFC came on strong looking for an equaliser but Stonebridge and Lapworth were great at the back for Hall. Addison dropped back into the centre of defence and between him, Smith & Crowe Hall played out time to secure the win.

 Match Report
On a day more suited to ducks the 19 boy's on show produced a great if not high scoring game.

For a very nice change Moreton Hall started very well with Aves in the Mildenhall goal producing very good save's from Hutchins & Stewart-Hogg. From a Waterson shot Aves turned the ball round the post for a corner, this was half cleared to Stonebridge who let fly from 30 yard's. It had 'goal of the season' written all over it, however Aves had other idea's and produced a breathtaking save! This spurred Mildenhall on and Tully in the Hall goal had to produce 2 fine save's, Crowe kicked 1 off the line and Lapworth was as solid as a rock.

The second half was end to end with Smith, Addison & Gibbs working well in Midfield. Smith feed Waterson who hit a great shot that crashed back off  the post and just out of the on rushing Stewart-Hogg. Once again Tully save Hall with Addison mopping up the danger.

Extra time was the same as before with chance's at both end's, in the final minute Smith feed the ball to Hutchins who crossed for Stewart-Hogg to hit a crisp shot which came back off Aves only to hit a Mildenhall hand. The resulting penalty was struck well by Crowe, Aves went the right way but was unable to keep it out.

Never have I seen  better Goalkeeping display than by the 2 young lad's in terrible condition's, Well don Max Tully & Ben Aves.

Also well done the parent's who got soaked watching

Brandon were fast out the block's and it was no surprise when they took the lead on 5 minuets, they came close to going 2 up but Tully made a great save & Stonebridge cleared the danger. Hall's first shot on target was a long range freekick from Crowe that came back of there keeper for Gibbs to slot home. Addison were superb in the centre of midfield with Smith supporting him well. Gibbs broke down the right crossed into the middle for Waterson to rise like a salmon to head past the keeper.

In the second half it was end to end stuff with Stewart-Hogg & Hutchins going close, at the other end Lapworth & Stonebridge were rock solid. Gibbs nearly added his second and Stewart-Hogg missed a great chance to wrap it up, but not to worry as the Ref blue his whistle after 9 minuets of injury time !

Well played all the lads!

Hall started well with Hutchins going close on 3 minutes, the back 3 of Stonebridge, Lapworth & Tully looked very solid. Smith tireless work paid off when he put Stewart-Hogg through to open the scoring. Addison and Gibbs began to run the game with some neat football, but Elmswell never gave in.

In the second half Hall took control with Stewart-Hogg adding his second, Crowe had a long range shot well saved. Gibbs saw his shot drift just wide and Stonebridge nearly getting on the end of Smith's corner. For Elmswell, Rochford broke free only for Tully to save well at his feet. Stewart-Hogg completed his hatrick with a fine long-range effort and then Waterson controlled turned and shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards, great goal. To there credit Elmswell never let there heads drop, but this was a fine Hall performance.

Well played.

The score line was not a true reflection of the game if the first 10 minutes were anything to go by.
Moreton Hall B were the stronger of the 2 teams and Hogg and Smith controlled the early midfield exchanges, although it was Moreton Hall A who went 1-0 up on 7 minutes when Nicholls scoreded direct from a corner.
More good play from Smith, Waterson and Gibbs kept Moreton Hall B on top but could not find a finish to go with the hard work they were putting in. After this Moreton Hall A got going and Nicholls scored from close range after Dove fired in a fine shot on 14 minutes. Soon after Dove turned and struck a fine low shot to make it 3-0 on 16minutes.

Moreton Hall B never gave up and fine play from Crowe and Hogg created more oppurtunnities for the forwards to score but could not beat Reid in the 'A's goal. On 35 minutes Dove was brought down in the box and Dongray gave Tully no chance in the 'B's goal with the resulting penalty to make it 4-0.
